Training Developer


Status: Full Time

Location: La Plata, MD

Description:

Performs expert-level development and delivery of highly complex training and educational programs for customer personnel; works under limited supervision; performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education/Training/Certification/Licensure:
    Associates Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. Minimum of seven years of directly related training experience.
  • Special Equipment/Skills:
    Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development and delivery of training programs; Expert knowledge of relevant software and computer equipment as required; Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills; Ability to evaluate effectiveness of training programs; Ability to serve as technical team or task lead; Frequent TDY trips expected within CONUS; Hold a Secret Security Clearance.

Essential Position Functions:

  • Performs expert-level development and delivery of highly complex training programs and related materials in support of customer training objectives;
  • Establishes and reviews course content and objectives;
  • Is recognized as a subject matter expert in the field in which he/she is training;
  • Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities;
  • Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness;
  • Updates course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance;
  • Provides work leadership to lower level employees, including evaluating the effectiveness of their training presentations and programs, and may have supervisory responsibilities;
  • May serve as technical team or task lead;
  • Conducts research into new training, educational, and multimedia technologies;
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned;
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Adhere to all security protocols and informs the FSO if there is a breach of confidentiality.
  • Performs all other required tasks.
